Jim Hayes (James William Hayes) was born on November 26, 1940 in Meridian, Mississippi. After going to high school at J.T. Harris (Meridian, MS), Hayes attended Jackson State University. Hayes made his professional debut in the AFL in 1965 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1966 was Jim Hayes's best year.
