Jim Harlan (James Thomas Harlan) was born on June 14, 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana. After going to high school at C.E. Byrd (Shreveport, LA), Harlan attended Howard Payne University. Harlan made his professional debut in the NFL in 1978 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins for his entire 1 year career.
