Jim Greengrass

Jim Greengrass (James Raymond Greengrass) was born on October 24, 1927 in Addison, New York. He made his Major League debut on September 9, 1952 for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1953, his rookie year, he hit .285 with 20 home runs and 100 RBI. Greengrass played for the Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that Jim Greengrass's best season was 1953, when he slugged 20 home runs, hit for a .285 average and knocked in 100 runs.
