Jim Frugone (James Gregory Frugone) was born on October 23, 1897 in Brooklyn, New York. After going to high school at Commercial (Brooklyn, NY), Frugone attended Syracuse University. Frugone made his professional debut in the NFL in 1925 with the New York Giants. He played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the New York Giants the entire time. Frugone also played in the AFLG for 1 year, playing for the Brooklyn Horsemen the entire time.
