Jim Fraser (James Gallagher Fraser) was born on May 29, 1936 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Germantown (Philadelphia, PA), Fraser attended the University of Wisconsin. Fraser made his professional debut in the AFL in 1962 with the Denver Broncos. He played in the AFL for 5 years, playing for the Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs and Boston Patriots over the course of his 5 year AFL career.Fraser also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the New Orleans Saints the entire time.

Most people believe that 1962 was Jim Fraser's best year, as he had a 43.6 yard punt average.
