Jim Flaherty (James Wilson Flaherty) was born on December 26, 1895 in Washington, District Of Columbia. After going to high school at Eastern (Washington, DC), Flaherty attended Georgetown University. Flaherty made his professional debut in the NFL in 1923 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 1 year career.
