Jim Curtiss (Ervin Duane Curtiss) was born on December 27, 1861 in Coldwater, Michigan. He made his Major League debut on July 15, 1891 for the Washington Senators. In 1891, his rookie year, he hit .261 with 1 home run and 25 RBI. Curtiss played for the Washington Senators and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 1 year career.
