Jim Covert (James Paul Covert) was born on March 22, 1960 in Conway, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Freedom (PA), Covert attended the University of Pittsburgh. Covert made his professional debut in the NFL in 1983 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 8 year career.
