Born on September 9, 1961 in Newton, Massachusetts, Jim Corsi (James Bernard Corsi) played for the Oakland Athletics, Houston Astros, Florida Marlins, Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 10 year career. Corsi broke into the bigs on June 28, 1988 with the Oakland Athletics, and put up a 3.71 ERA in 77.2 innings pitched in 1991, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Jim Corsi's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1996, when he posted a 4.03 ERA. However, others believe that it was 1998, when he posted a 2.59 ERA.
