Jim Champion (Jim Henry Champion) was born on January 11, 1926 in Tillatoba, Mississippi. After going to high school at Charleston (MS), Champion attended Mississippi State University. Champion made his professional debut in the NFL in 1950 with the New York Yanks. He played for the New York Yanks for his entire 2 year career.
