Jim Camp (James Vernon Camp) was born on August 8, 1924 in Union, South Carolina. Camp attended Randolph-Macon College and the University of North Carolina. Camp made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1948 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 1 year career.
