Jim Busby (James Franklin Busby) was born on January 8, 1927 in Kenedy, Texas. He made his Major League debut on April 23, 1950 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1951, his rookie year, he hit .283 with 5 home runs and 68 RBI. Busby played for the Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators, Cleveland Indians, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox and Houston Colt .45s over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that Jim Busby's best season was 1954, when he hit for a .298 average and knocked in 80 runs.
