Jim Bucher (James Quinter Bucher) was born on March 24, 1911 in Manassas, Virginia. He made his Major League debut on April 18, 1934 for the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1935, his rookie year, he hit .302 with 7 home runs and 58 RBI. Bucher played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that Jim Bucher's best season was 1935, when he hit for a .302 average and knocked in 58 runs.
