Born on February 25, 1856 in Brooklyn, New York, Jim Britt (James Edward Britt) played for the Brooklyn Atlantics for his entire 2 year career. Britt broke into the bigs on May 2, 1872 with the Brooklyn Atlantics, and put up a 5.06 ERA in 336 innings pitched in 1872, his rookie year.
