Jim Bowdoin (James L. Bowdoin) was born on January 15, 1904 in Coffee Springs, Alabama. After going to high school at Elba (AL), Bowdoin attended the University of Alabama. Bowdoin made his professional debut in the NFL in 1928 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Green Bay Packers, Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Giants and Portsmouth Spartans over the course of his 7 year career.
