Jim Bolger (James Cyril Bolger) was born on February 23, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on June 24, 1950 for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1955, his rookie year, he hit .206 with 0 home runs and 7 RBI. Bolger played for the Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that Jim Bolger's best season was 1957, when he hit for a .275 average.
