Jim Boeke (James Frederick Boeke) was born on September 11, 1938 in Akron, Ohio. After going to high school at Cuyahoga Falls (OH), Boeke attended Heidelberg College. Boeke made his professional debut in the NFL in 1960 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that 1962 was Jim Boeke's best year.
