Born on December 11, 1909 in Jackson, Mississippi, Jim Bivin (James Nathaniel Bivin) played for the Philadelphia Phillies for his entire 1 year career. Bivin broke into the bigs on April 16, 1935 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 5.79 ERA in 161.2 innings pitched in 1935, his rookie year.
