Jim Beauchamp (James Edward Beauchamp) was born on August 21, 1939 in Vinita, Oklahoma. He made his Major League debut on September 22, 1963 for the Houston Colt .45s. In 1971, his rookie year, he hit .235 with 2 home runs and 16 RBI. Beauchamp played for the Houston Colt .45s, Milwaukee Braves, Houston Astros, Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals and New York Mets over the course of his 8 year career.
