Jim Battles (James Battles) was born on September 18, 1941 in Shreveport, Louisiana. After going to high school at Booker T. Washington (Shreveport, LA), Battles attended Southern University. Battles made his professional debut in the NFL in 1966 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Cleveland Browns for his entire 1 year career.
