Jim Barber (James Patrick Barber) was born on July 21, 1912 in Nashville, Tennessee. After going to high school at Manteca (CA), Barber attended the University of San Francisco. Barber made his professional debut in the NFL in 1935 with the Boston Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins and Boston Redskins over the course of his 7 year career.
