Jim Ailinger (James Joseph Ailinger) was born on July 10, 1901 in Buffalo, New York. After going to high school at Hutchinson (Buffalo, NY), Ailinger attended the University at Buffalo. Ailinger made his professional debut in the NFL in 1924 with the Buffalo Bisons. He played for the Buffalo Bisons for his entire 1 year career.
