Born on October 11, 1974 in Nizao, Peravia (Dominican Republic), Jesus Sanchez (Jesus Paulino Sanchez) played for the Florida Marlins, Chicago Cubs, Colorado Rockies and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 7 year career. Sanchez broke into the bigs on March 31, 1998 with the Florida Marlins, and put up a 4.47 ERA in 173 innings pitched in 1998, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Jesus Sanchez's best season was 1998, when he posted a 4.47 ERA and struck out 137 batters.
