[edit] Biography

Born on November 23, 1894 in Orr, Oklahoma, Jesse Petty (Jesse Lee Petty) played for the Cleveland Indians, Brooklyn Robins, Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 7 year career. Petty broke into the bigs on April 14, 1921 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 4.88 ERA in 153 innings pitched in 1925, his rookie year.
