Acquired:
Selected by the Ticats in the first round (sixth overall) of the 2005 Canadian College Draft.
2006:
Played in four games including three starts following his return to the Tiger-Cats after being released by the Washington Redskins…had 40 carries for 163 yards and five receptions for 51 yards…in his first action of the season, a Tiger-Cats 20-18 victory at Edmonton on September 22nd he had 14 carries for 47 yards and caught three passes for 39 yards…in Hamilton’s 28-8 loss to B.C. on September 30th, Lumsden had 13 carries for a season high 73 yards…initially signed as an option year player with Washington on January 21st…attended the Redskins training camp and played in two games during the pre-season…had two receptions for 15 yards and two carries for seven yards…was released by Washington on August 29th.
2005:
The explosive, physical, hard noised tailback played in seven games with Hamilton as a rookie follow his release from the Seattle Seahawks…had 60 carries for 307 yards and one touchdown and 11 receptions for 153 yards and one touchdown …on special teams he 11 kickoff returns for 259 yards (23.5 avg.)…was Hamilton’s nominee for the CFL Most Outstanding Rookie Award…in his CFL debut, a Tiger-Cats 39-17 loss to Calgary on September 17th he had four kickoff returns for 88 yards…had three carries for 21 yards and returned one kickoff 33 yards in the Tiger-Cats 40-14 victory over Edmonton on September 30th…started at tailback, carrying the ball eight time for 19 yards, catching one pass for five yards and returning four kickoffs 101 yards in the Tiger-Cats 43-21 loss at Ottawa on October 7th…started at tailback, carrying the ball 13 times for 69 yards and one score and returned one kickoff 21 yards…had a huge game, catching three passes for 102 yards including a 78 yard score, carrying the ball 10 times for 73 yards and returned one punt 16 yards totaling 191 all-purpose yards in the Tiger-Cats 40-32 victory over Ottawa on October 21st…started at tailback, carry the ball 14 times for 48 yards, catching seven passes for 52 yards, made one defensive tackle and one on special teams in Hamilton’s 34-11 loss at Toronto on October 27th.Signed as an un-drafted free-agent with the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League on April 24th…attended the Seahawks training camp and was released on August 23rd…dressed for Seattle’s 18-10 pre-season loss to Dallas on August 22nd.
College:
Had a spectacular four year (2001-04) career with the McMaster University Marauders…in 29 career games he finished as the OUA’s all-time leading rusher and third in the CIS with 4,138 yards…holds the CIS record for most touchdowns in a career with 47.
Personal:
Born August 3, 1982 in Edmonton, Alberta…his father Neil played 10 seasons as a full back in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with Toronto, Hamilton and Edmonton and won three Grey Cup rings with the Eskimos…had a successful career at Nelson High School in his hometown of Burlington…was named both the Metro Bowl MVP and the Nelson Football MVP in 1999.
