Jesse Hoffmeister (Jesse H. Hoffmeister) was born on June , 1872 in Toledo, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on July 24, 1897 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1897, his rookie year, he hit .309 with 3 home runs and 36 RBI. Hoffmeister played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 1 year career.
