Jerry Watford (Jerry Ray Watford) was born on December 19, 1930 in Gadsden, Alabama. After going to high school at Gadsden (AL), Watford attended the University of Alabama. Watford made his professional debut in the NFL in 1953 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 2 year career.
