Born on June 14, 1967 in Fullerton, California, Jerry Spradlin (Jerry Carl Spradlin) played for the Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, San Francisco Giants, Cleveland Indians, Kansas City Royals and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 7 year career. Spradlin broke into the bigs on July 2, 1993 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 4.74 ERA in 81.2 innings pitched in 1997, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Jerry Spradlin's best season was 1998, when he posted a 3.53 ERA and struck out 76 batters.
