Jerry Royster (Jeron Kennis Royster) was born on October 18, 1952 in Sacramento, California. He made his Major League debut on August 14, 1973 for the Los Angeles Dodgers. In 1976, his rookie year, he hit .248 with 5 home runs and 45 RBI. Royster played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, San Diego Padres, New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 16 year career.

Most people believe that Jerry Royster's best season was 1979, when he stole 35 bases and knocked in 51 runs.
