Jerry Morales (Julio Ruben (Torres) Morales) was born on February 18, 1949 in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. He made his Major League debut on September 5, 1969 for the San Diego Padres. In 1972, his rookie year, he hit .239 with 4 home runs and 18 RBI. Morales played for the San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, Detroit Tigers and New York Mets over the course of his 15 year career.

Most people believe that Jerry Morales's best season was 1974, when he slugged 15 home runs and knocked in 82 runs.
