Jerry Jones Needs to Look Himself in the Mirror

"Sometimes change is good," Owens told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on Monday. "I think it was needed." "Coming into this season and this situation, I wanted to be positive," Owens told the Star-Telegram. "When I talked to [Parcells] for the first time we left an impression on each other. I still think he is a great guy. But he is like my grandmother. You love the person, but they are stuck in their old-school ways. You can't move them from their way of thought." Gee, who wouldn’t want to come back and put up with more of this? So now we’ve had time to reflect on Parcells “retirement”, (and I use that term very loosely) wondering what factors played into this decision? Perhaps it was “The Player” who lead the league in dropped passes...You know the one who if he catches that long bomb down the field against the Redskins and walks into the endzone, the Cowboys would seemingly have a higher seed in the playoffs. Yeah that one!
Bill won’t admit it and for the life of me, I don’t know why, but we all know the reason why his coaching days are done is because of Owens. Were we really surprised by this decision? Some say they were, but honestly you would’ve had a better chance of a one-legged duck not swimming in a circle than would’ve thought Tuna coming back to Big D. Why would he? One of the greatest coaches that the NFL has ever seen, is going to come back to co-star in another episode of “Planet TO”? Now what Jerry Jones must be thinking...He thought by signing TO he was putting his team over the top. Well I guess one can say that...For 81 has literally taken this whole franchise, “America’s Team” no less and pushed it over a cliff. I guess Owens needed more of a challenge considering his past antics in San Francisco and Philly...Why prey on quarterbacks? Although Drew Bledsoe wasn’t long for the ride either with this guy. Why not go after a Hall of Fame coach? A coach who has done everything there is to do in this league...Yeah, let’s push him out of the way, too. Oh, did I mention that cameo appearance in B-more before flying the coup there. Hey Jerry, you still happy Terrell is a member of the Cowboys? That accusation really paid off for you didn’t it? Although, you’re the expert...You know what you’re doing, right? Just like you showed Jimmy Johnson the door too! For an owner who thinks he knows everything about everything, you’re doing a hell of a job!
Now the question is, you just lost the best coach that could’ve controlled the situation at hand...Now who in their right mind is going to come into Big D to coach you franchise? Who is going to want that job? If a big helping of Tuna couldn’t rectify the problem, nobody in there right mind is going to come into Dallas and deal with what you have there Jerry...Nobody! Okay, so if you open you pocket book and blind your candidates with all them zeroes, perhaps somebody will jump off the cliff? Odds are, it’s not going to be a big name...Bill Cowher, yeah, right! “The Jaw” & Owens, won’t mix....You’d have a better change of oil and water mixing! Come to think of it, nothing mixes with him..You’re best bet is to just hire Terrell himself as your new head coach! I mean why not? It’s the perfect fit...There’s never been a player coach in the NFL before and you’re always willing to make a splash...Why not try it? It can’t be any worse than Pete Rose in Cincy...Just make sure Terrell doesn’t have a gambling problem!
Whether you’re man enough to put you’re grapes on the table and admit you made a mistake by bringing Owens to Dallas when everybody told you don’t do it, it’s not worth it, that’s on you. Although, we all know this won’t happen! Problem now, you have a Hall of Fame coach who just flew the coup, Terrell Owens as a member of your team still and nobody knocking on your door to fill the vacancy...Good job, Jerry! Really, Awesome! Maybe you might be able to have Owens grandfather to fill the vacancy? I would offer up my grandfather’s name, I love him, but he’s stuck in is old ways too. And the closest thing to a Super Bowl ring for him is his wedding band. The only Hall of Fame he might be inducted into is the one at McDonald’s. He prefers Mickey D’s over Tuna!
See, sometimes Jerry, well people like you just have to learn shit the hard way! As you’ve found out, the risk doesn’t out weigh the reward when it comes to number 81...Cancer doesn’t care who or what it comes in contact with! It likes to take total control and destroy everything in it’s path! I’m just surprised you didn’t go to your team doctors to find this out. The only way to try and get rid of it is to start chemo...Although the more the cancer spreads, the less likely chemo will work! The question now you have to answer Jerry, is what’s the long term diagnosis? As of right now it looks bleak, but I’m no doctor! Rather, I just plant my ass in the LastRow! What it comes down to is really quite simple JJ...The bed you make for yourself, is the bed you’ll have to lie, (or is it die) in!
Vote in LastRowSports.com Pick’em Poll this week which asks about "First African American Coach to Raise Streling Shiny Football?” To find out you're choices you have to go to the home page and find out…You’ll be glad you did! Let’s just say voting in this poll is a whole heck of a lot easier than doing that whole “Lights Out” dance bit NOTE: This isn’t a scientific poll, however by not voting in this non-scientific poll we’ll assume that you would rather look like an ass like Reggie Bush did on Sunday.
