Jerry Hillebrand (Gerald John Hillebrand) was born on March 28, 1940 in Davenport, Iowa. After going to high school at Davenport (IA), Hillebrand attended the University of Colorado. Hillebrand made his professional debut in the NFL in 1963 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that 1963 was Jerry Hillebrand's best year, as he picked off 5 passes and ran back an interception for a touchdown.
