Jerry DiPoto

Born on May 24, 1968 in Jersey City, New Jersey, Jerry DiPoto (Gerard Peter DiPoto) played for the Cleveland Indians, New York Mets and Colorado Rockies over the course of his 8 year career. DiPoto broke into the bigs on May 11, 1993 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 2.40 ERA in 56.1 innings pitched in 1993, his rookie year.
There is some disagreement on what was Jerry DiPoto's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1998, when he posted a 3.53 ERA and notched 19 saves. However, others believe that it was 1997, when he posted a 4.70 ERA, notched 16 saves and struck out 74 batters.
