Jerry DaVanon (Frank Gerald DaVanon) was born on August 21, 1945 in Oceanside, California. He made his Major League debut on April 11, 1969 for the St. Louis Cardinals. DaVanon played for the St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres, Baltimore Orioles, California Angels and Houston Astros over the course of his 8 year career.
