Jerry Browne (Jerome Austin Browne) was born on February 13, 1966 in Christiansted, Virgin Islands. He made his Major League debut on September 6, 1986 for the Texas Rangers. In 1987, his rookie year, he hit .271 with 1 home run and 38 RBI. Browne played for the Texas Rangers, Cleveland Indians, Oakland Athletics and Florida Marlins over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that Jerry Browne's best season was 1989, when he hit for a .299 average.
