Born on October 6, 1947 in Madison, Tennessee, Jerry Bell (Jerry Houston Bell) played for the Milwaukee Brewers for his entire 4 year career. Bell broke into the bigs on September 6, 1971 with the Milwaukee Brewers, and put up a 1.66 ERA in 70.2 innings pitched in 1972, his rookie year.
There is some disagreement on what was Jerry Bell's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1973, when he posted a 3.97 ERA and struck out 57 batters. However, others believe that it was 1972, when he posted a 1.66 ERA.
