In a report found on ESPN.com, Jeremy Roenick sent a text message to the Philadelphia Inquirer and states that he's retiring. He wants to spend time with his wife and children and try his hand at sportscasting and acting.
With the departure of Brett Hull from NBC, I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up there in some capacity.
He has had a great career and it's too bad he couldn't join Mike Modano with the milestone of 500 goals.
Hopefully, life will treat him and his family well.
