Born on January 17, 1964 in Barberton, Ohio, Jeff Tabaka (Jeffrey Jon Tabaka) played for the San Diego Padres, Pittsburgh Pirates, Houston Astros, Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 6 year career. Tabaka broke into the bigs on April 19, 1994 with the San Diego Padres, and put up a 3.02 ERA in 50.2 innings pitched in 1998, his rookie year.
