Jeff Staggs (Jeffrey Hugh Staggs) was born on May 14, 1944 in Elgin, Illinois. After going to high school at Point Loma (San Diego, CA), Staggs attended Brigham Young University, San Diego City College and San Diego State University. Staggs made his professional debut in the AFL in 1967 with the San Diego Chargers. He played in the AFL for 3 years, playing for the San Diego Chargers the entire time. Staggs also played in the NFL for 5 years, playing for the San Diego Chargers and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 5 year NFL career.
Most people believe that 1968 was Jeff Staggs's best year.
