Jeff Reed (Jeffrey Scott Reed) was born on November 12, 1962 in Joliet, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on April 5, 1984 for the Minnesota Twins. In 1986, his rookie year, he hit .236 with 2 home runs and 9 RBI. Reed played for the Minnesota Twins, Montreal Expos, Cincinnati Reds, San Francisco Giants, Colorado Rockies and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 17 year career.

Most people believe that Jeff Reed's best season was 1997, when he slugged 17 home runs and hit for a .297 average.
