Born on November 17, 1966 in Baltimore, Maryland, Jeff Nelson (Jeffrey Allan Nelson) played for the Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, Texas Rangers and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 15 year career. Nelson broke into the bigs on April 16, 1992 with the Seattle Mariners, and put up a 3.44 ERA in 81 innings pitched in 1992, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Jeff Nelson's best season was 1995, when he posted a 2.17 ERA and struck out 96 batters.
