Jeff Groth (Jeffrey Eugene Groth) was born on July 2, 1957 in Mankato, Minnesota. After going to high school at Chagrin Falls (OH), Groth attended Bowling Green State University. Groth made his professional debut in the NFL in 1979 with the Miami Dolphins. He played for the New Orleans Saints, Houston Oilers and Miami Dolphins over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that 1983 was Jeff Groth's best year, as he hauled in 49 receptions and had 585 receiving yards.
