Jeff Cox (Jeffrey Lindon Cox) was born on November 9, 1955 in Los Angeles, California. He made his Major League debut on July 1, 1980 for the Oakland Athletics. In 1980, his rookie year, he hit .213 with 0 home runs and 9 RBI. Cox played for the Oakland Athletics for his entire 2 year career.
