Jayhawk Owens (Claude Jayhawk Owens) was born on February 10, 1969 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on June 6, 1993 for the Colorado Rockies. In 1996, his rookie year, he hit .239 with 4 home runs and 17 RBI. Owens played for the Colorado Rockies for his entire 4 year career.
