Jay Novacek (Jay McKinley Novacek) was born on October 24, 1962 in Martin, South Dakota. After going to high school at Gothenburg (NE), Novacek attended the University of Wyoming. Novacek made his professional debut in the NFL in 1985 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Cardinals and Phoenix Cardinals over the course of his 11 year career.
Most people believe that 1995 was Jay Novacek's best year, as he hauled in 62 receptions, had 705 receiving yards and caught 5 TD passes.
