Jay Norvell (Merritt Jay Norvell) was born on March 28, 1963 in Madison, Wisconsin. After going to high school at James Madison Memorial (Madison, WI), Norvell attended the University of Iowa. Norvell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 1 year career.
