Jay Macdowell (Jay Sidney MacDowell) was born on September 14, 1919 in Oak Park, Illinois. After going to high school at Oak Park (IL), Macdowell attended the University of Washington. Macdowell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1946 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1950 was Jay Macdowell's best year.
