Jay Hilgenberg (Jay Walter Hilgenberg) was born on March 21, 1959 in Iowa City, Iowa. After going to high school at City (Iowa City, IA), Hilgenberg attended the University of Iowa. Hilgenberg made his professional debut in the NFL in 1981 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 13 year career.
Most people believe that 1982 was Jay Hilgenberg's best year.
