Jay Canizaro (Jason Kyle Canizaro) was born on July 4, 1973 in Beaumont, Texas. He made his Major League debut on April 28, 1996 for the San Francisco Giants. In 2000, his rookie year, he hit .269 with 7 home runs and 40 RBI. Canizaro played for the San Francisco Giants and Minnesota Twins over the course of his 4 year career.
