Jay Brophy (James Jay Brophy) was born on July 27, 1960 in Akron, Ohio. After going to high school at John R. Buchtel (Akron, OH), Brophy attended the University of Miami. Brophy made his professional debut in the NFL in 1984 with the Miami Dolphins. He played for the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1985 was Jay Brophy's best year.
